About this venue

Ceremony

Outdoor ceremonies are the best types of weddings here in the mansion. When the vineyards are in full bloom and the lake glitters under the warm sun, they make a perfect view for a Swiss destination wedding ceremony.

Your outdoor wedding will have a laid back vibe surrounded by the pristine environment of the Swiss municipality, devoid of noise and crowds, but filled with the sound of nature.

The terraced garden with lush florals opening to the lake is the perfect spot for your sun-basked ceremony. The Swiss weather is mild during summer, with less rains in spring and autumn, so you can have a wonderful outdoor ceremony for the most part of the year. This magical terrace can accommodate up to 150 people.

Couples are also welcome to have indoor ceremonies where exquisite Swiss furniture pieces are displayed. The four rooms of the mansion host banquets and special events of up to 80 persons standing. However, the best events here are those with small groups of only 20 who will have a spacious area for the ceremony and party.

Choose from among the banquet room, seminar room, and other two indoor areas for your memorable wedding in Switzerland.

Activities

After your wedding ceremony in this magical mansion, you can rent a place nearby to stay for the night and come back to the venue for exciting activities.

Explore the protected and preserved vineyards that adjoin the mansion and its gardens. The magnificent slopes of vineyards will leave you breathless as they are classified by UNESCO as a preserved site. This is where the authentic grape variety of the municipality is harvested and turned into noble wines.

Request for a wine tasting activity to make your honeymoon here in Vaud more fun. Have a taste of their delicious red wine with aromas and structures that you will never taste elsewhere.

Although only one building is available for special events, the whole venue has three more buildings that can only be visited via a guided tour.

Visit the Historical Museum of Lausanne showing an old kitchen with fireplace, a traditional Swiss dining room, and a pretty library. You can also explore the Grand Salon built back in 1917, the living room with a fine collection of porcelain, and a terrace that receives plenty of afternoon sun.

There are so many rooms and salons to discover from the three buildings of the venue, and it’s a wonderful way to explore the history and culture of the communities in this Swiss location.

Highlights

Located at the heart of Bourg-en-Lavaux, a Swiss municipality along Lake Geneva, this small mansion for weddings in Vaud is surrounded by lake views, alpine scenes, and vineyards.

Sitting in the midst of a highly forested Swiss location with a very small population and large agricultural lands, this venue offers tranquility and seclusion from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Reception

The Renaissance room with lovely chandeliers and antique furnishings is the grandest indoor area in the mansion. It can seat up to 48 persons for the reception and 60 for aperitifs. An even bigger banquet hall with brick interior walls and vintage ceiling lamps can also be used for wedding receptions of up to 60 persons or 80 for aperitifs.

Another smaller room in the mansion is the most suitable for intimate weddings of up to 40 persons. You’ll fall in love with the wooden furnishings of the room, and the traditional and modern items of the mansion’s owners.

Now we’re down to the most exciting and unique room in the mansion, the cellar, that is perfect for elopements for two or a small wedding of only 30 people or less. Tables can be arranged for an intimate wedding reception inside the cellar under its white brick ceilings and walls, reminiscent of medieval pubs.

The garden overlooking the lake and the vineyards can also accommodate small or big groups for aperitif or dinner.
