Highlights

Forget about your normal daily lives and enjoy the tranquility of this 17th-century French wedding chateau that abounds in nature.

It’s a 103-acre estate with 90 acres of private forest - a perfect setting or a fairytale wedding. Tie the knot amidst one of its beautiful outdoor spaces and have a lovely wedding dinner in its rustic reception room or at the picturesque orangerie. Everything is possible in this multi-space, nature-packed location for destination weddings in France.

Location

Nestled into a private thickly wooded forest, this 400-year-old chateau sits in an ideal location on a hilltop terrace overlooking the Yonne river and its picturesque valley. This venue in Burgundy is considered a historical gem, protected by the French government to preserve its timeless beauty.

Burgundy is a gorgeous French countryside with rolling green hills and medieval villages dotted with historic buildings revealing the bygone Renaissance era. The chateau sits perfectly in this French province where unspoiled nature blends perfectly with historical structures.

History

The 17th-century chateau used to be a cooking school in the 1980s, but lay empty and abandoned for almost a decade.

In 2017, a young French architect bought the chateau with millions of ideas for its transformation. She courageously took the challenge of reviving the 400-year old building into a festive and gorgeous chateau where people will come to gather and celebrate their most special events.

Fast forward to today, this chateau is one of the sought-after locations in Burgundy for destination weddings. It’s an all-in-one venue with wedding ceremony and reception areas, along with accommodations for 60 guests.

Ceremony

As a multi-space wedding chateau, this venue can accommodate all your wishes for the ceremony. Indoor and outdoor areas are a fairytale setting waiting to be enjoyed.

Outdoor ceremony spots include the courtyard, the orangerie, and the garden for the most intimate events. However, we believe that there’s no better place for your dream French countryside wedding than under the 400-year-old oak trees amidst the venue’s 90-acre woodland.

Each spot gives you the best views of the Yonne river and valley, along with Burgundy’s picturesque villages. No matter the weather on your wedding day, you will have an unforgettable ceremony inside the chateau’s event rooms. Made for intimate ceremonies, they offer privacy for your whole wedding party.

Reception

Even your wedding reception can be held outdoors to give you an opportunity to take in the views while celebrating.

Choose from among the three picturesque courtyards for a bright and airy wedding dinner or celebrate inside the chateau’s reception rooms that accommodate 70 to 200 guests.

The 450m² orangerie is an amazing spot for a cocktail hour, and it can also double as a venue for nature-surrounded wedding receptions. For intimate weddings, you can bring your guests to the garden to have a seated dinner.

Accommodation

The chateau is not just a perfect venue for ceremonies and receptions. It’s also a wonderful place to spend your honeymoon.

With 28 bedrooms, 30 glamping bell tents, and 3 kitchens, you are guaranteed to have a relaxing and luxurious stay after the wedding. Enjoy the venue’s laid back atmosphere amidst unspoiled nature by taking advantage of the accommodations that it offers for up to 60 guests. It’s a great place to celebrate some more with your loved one, family, and friends.
