Some princes-bishops resided in the hotel, leaving traces of royalty that are still in the castle to date. After serving as a residence to royal families, it was handed down to different owners who continually improved the castle without changing its historic vibe. It was in the late 19th-century when the castle was finally converted into a hotel with a famous restaurant that offers world-class gourmet dishes to anyone wise enough to visit the place.
