My guests, husband, and I had such a wonderful time. Everything came out perfectly! Planning their destination wedding in Italy

Timely, clear, and consistent communication was key in turning Peyton and Stephen's dream wedding into a reality. Since the couple could not travel all the way from the US to Italy for any planning and coordination errands, they communicated all their preferences to Eleonora, our Italian wedding planner, and entrusted everything to her.

Peyton and Stephen booked our company to plan their wedding two years before the scheduled date, which is why there was plenty of time to look for the best venue and suppliers who could deliver precisely what the couple wanted.

The two envisioned an outdoor wedding with scenic lake views in the background, and spring was the best time to hold a ceremony like this. The lakeside villa they picked is always fully booked during summer, so it was wise for Peyton and Stephen to have their wedding here before the peak summer season.

They planned on bringing eight of their favorite people to the lakeside villa they rented for three nights, and we also helped them prepare for the welcome party before the wedding day.

All the details of their wedding were arranged and finalized months before their big day, from the suppliers to the wedding program, including the song for the ceremony and the menu for the wedding dinner.

The whole planning process was a breeze because Peyton and Stephen had clear and simple requests, and all the details were communicated promptly. It also helped that their guests had no dietary restrictions or sensitivities, so we did not have to make special arrangements for anyone.

About the wedding venue

If you will choose to get married in the Como region, there is nothing more romantic than saying your I dos outdoors overlooking the glorious lake. This Lake Como hotel has a beautiful space right at the banks of the lake for a breathtaking ceremony backdrop.

The ceremony area is a spacious botanical garden where couples and their guests will enjoy lake views under the warm sunset.

This lakeside hotel is a lovely building constructed centuries ago, with features showcasing Italian history and culture. Its baroque architecture attests to the hotel's rich history preserved in its facade and interiors.

Outside, the vibrant garden blends perfectly with the lake and the views of Italian rolling hills and quiet villages. It's a perfect location not only for wedding ceremonies but intimate dinners and an unforgettable honeymoon. Whether it's an outdoor or indoor celebration, every event space in the hotel offers views of the picturesque lake, whilst several suites offer the same scenic views.

The hotel is set at the heart of Varenna, a peaceful Italian village known as a center of art, wellness, and nature. Enjoy the tranquility it offers as you explore its beauty and history with the love of your life. If you still have time, explore the nearby villages within the city of Como, and take as many photos as you can to remind you of this Italian escapade when you're finally back home.

The romantic ceremony overlooking Lake Como

Peyton and Stephen wanted to bask under the warm sun for their wedding ceremony. The autumn weather was bright and breezy on the day of their wedding, and it was perfect for outdoor celebrations.

To avoid the harsh sun, the couple scheduled the ceremony for 5 pm, near the golden hour when the sun has gone low, and it's comfortable to stay outdoors.

They picked the botanical garden fronting the lake as the spot for their exchange of vows, and it was just perfect! The hotel was not crowded because the summer season had not yet started. Peyton and Stephen, together with their wedding party, had the botanical garden all to themselves for a private and intimate celebration.

When the hour for the ceremony came, Stephen and their guests proceeded to the garden, waiting for the lovely bride. A few minutes later, Peyton walked towards the aisle with her father, and Stephen could not help but cry at the sight of his lovely bride!

It was a magical scene when Peyton and her father descended from the ivy-covered stairs down to the garden and into the aisle. Even Peyton could not hide her emotions as she walked towards the love of her life.

The ceremony lasted less than half an hour, but it was the best part of the day. The sun was softly shining on the wedding party, and the lake glittered enchantingly in the background. When you choose a place like this for your big day, you don't need any decor; just the natural scene will suffice as the best wedding backdrop.

The after-ceremony photoshoot and wedding dinner

After the ceremony and the short photo session with their guests, Peyton and Stephen went with their photographer to the most vibrant spot in the garden, where trees stand at the very edge of the venue towards the lake. They also went to the hotel's exit going to the boat, which was the part of the hotel that was closest to the lake. This resulted in astounding photos with the lake and the silhouette of the mountains dominating the background.

While having their photoshoot, the guests enjoyed aperitifs at the main terrace. Just a few moments later, Peyton and Stephen joined their guests for wine and aperitifs until it was time for their sunset dinner. There was a long table arranged at the terrace under the pergola where all ten of them had an intimate dinner overlooking the lake. Some of their guests gave speeches for the couple, making it a memorable moment for all.
