Our wedding in Lako Como was unspeakably beautiful! Peach perfect and Eleonora made the whole process of planning a wedding abroad very smooth and stress free, all the vendors were wonderful, and the day went off without a hitch. 10/10 recommend if your planning to elope!
Story
A couple’s wedding day does not need to be complicated to be special. If you know what you want for your big day and where to celebrate it, you only need to focus on that and make it happen. There’s no need to worry about so many people who want to attend your big day. Many guests always mean more stress, and our couple Natalie and James who tied the knot in their dream destination did not have any of that on their special day.
Planning their destination wedding in Italy
Although this young couple already knew what they wanted for their destination wedding in Italy, they had to wait for another year from the time of wedding planning before getting married.
Just like many engaged couples last year, there was too much uncertainty on travel restrictions and COVID-19 protocols and it’s safer to set any overseas plans to at least a year later.
Despite the schedule challenges, Natalie and James were calm enough to wait for a more suitable date, which was a year after planning their wedding. The fact that they were not bringing any guests for their big day resulted in less stress and a less complicated planning process.
A wedding ceremony for two overlooking a scenic Italian lake was their first requirement. They also wanted to stay in the venue for a couple of days to really appreciate the beauty of their chosen Italian region.
True enough, their wedding and honeymoon turned out to be exactly as they envisioned it. They had a lovely ceremony for two overlooking Lake Como, a boat ride to savor the beauty of the lake and surrounding villages, a romantic dinner with acoustic music in the background, and a couple of days in the villa for their honeymoon.
About the wedding venue
Upon the recommendation of our wedding planner in Italy, Natalie and James chose a wedding villa along Lake Como as their ceremony venue. The historic and elegant villa offers beautiful outdoor spots for the ceremony, including a garden and a terrace overlooking the lake.
The villa’s access to the lake gives guests an opportunity to enjoy a boat ride along the lake to appreciate the scenic views a little closer.
It also guarantees authentic Italian gastronomical experience through its restaurant that serves a variety of local cuisines, including a classic parmigiana, prosciutto, and Risotto carnaroli, among others.
The romantic day that was
Natalie and James took advantage of the warm and clear weather during their wedding day, and proceeded to have an outdoor ceremony at the gazebo. The setting could not be more romantic, with the lake views at the back and the lush gardens surrounding them.
There were no guests for the ceremony. It was just the couple and their wedding celebrant leading the tying of the knot. After less than an hour of ceremony, Natalie and James walked around the gardens with lush greenery and vibrant flowers, along the pathways with best views of the lake, and the narrow boat platform overlooking the rolling hills on the other side.
Boat ride along the Lake Como
After their photoshoot around the villa, the couple proceeded to the most exciting part of their wedding day - the boat ride on the lake where the villages and rolling hills surrounding Lake Como are just a stone’s throw away.
Just before setting, the sun glistened magically on Natalie and James, making their photos on the boat extremely stunning. The golden sun gave a magic touch to the already amazing day.
A romantic dinner to cap the day
After the boat ride, they went back to the gazebo where the romantic table for two was perfectly arranged for them. They enjoyed a mini feast of smoked goose breast, risotto, beef entrecote, and salads for dinner, while a musician plays their favorite songs on acoustic guitar.
Everything was just perfect for Natalie and James’ destination wedding in Italy. As they said, their big day at Lake Como “was unspeakably beautiful.”
