Emily and Josh’s intimate wedding in Italy

Aside from their cute little boy, the panoramic Amalfi Coast, and the cake they designed on their wedding day, this destination wedding in Italy holds a special place in our hearts. Why? Because it beautifully showcases the joy of a destination micro wedding and a family vacation wrapped in one!

Their ceremony on top of Campania in Amalfi was more than just an exchange of vows or a romantic celebration between two people in love. It was an exciting trip for our couple and their dearest family members to a luxurious Italian destination for a lavish experience of a lifetime.

Family first from the very beginning

From their first call with our Italian wedding planner, Emily and Josh always had their family in mind. They envisioned a celebration of love with twelve special people plus their adorable two-year-old son, giving everyone an authentic la dolce vita experience in a scenic Italian location.

When presented with venue options, they chose one perfectly suited for small weddings, offering privacy and breathtaking views of Amalfi. But planning a destination wedding isn't easy when you have a toddler to take care of. That's where all-inclusive packages for weddings in Italy prove most valuable.

When Emily and Josh heard from our Italian planner that a package like this would remove all the research, confusing decision-making, and hours of conversation with vendors, they knew this was exactly what they needed.

They shared their vision with Eleonora, their number of guests, and how long they wanted to stay in Italy. Their local planner made everything easier, arranging three magical nights at the hotel for all their guests, ensuring everyone could fully immerse themselves in this multi-day Italian celebration.

A hotel with nostalgic gardens and breathtaking Amalfi views

This 13th-century hotel seems designed with intimate celebrations in mind. It boasts nostalgic gardens with private outdoor spaces, creating a romantic setting for Emily and Josh's wedding day.

Perched high above Ravello, the hotel offers sweeping views of Amalfi's elegant villages and pastel buildings.

Emily and Josh instantly fell in love with the place, easily imagining their family gathered there as they celebrate their love in Italy. The venue not only set a romantic tone for the ceremony but also became a cozy home away from home for their loved ones during their three-night stay.

This is one of our Italian wedding venues that offer the most stunning mountain and sea views for the ceremony.

Eleonora connected Emily and Josh with thoughtful, warm, and experienced vendors for their big day - from hair and makeup artists to a celebrant, photographer, and videographer.

The couple specifically requested speedy delivery of their photos and videos, wanting to relive their special moments as soon as possible. They also chose to bring their own bouquet and boutonnière, adding a personal touch to their vow renewal in Italy.

Getting ready for the big moment

Emily spent the morning surrounded by her sisters, friends, and mothers, sipping cold lemon juice under the warm autumn sun while soaking in the magic of Italy. At 2 PM, hair and makeup artists arrived to help her transform into a stunning bride.

Emily looked absolutely breathtaking in her elegant mermaid wedding dress that hugged her curves perfectly, paired with classic red lipstick that added a bold, sophisticated touch to her bridal look. The combination was nothing short of stunning - timeless elegance with a hint of modern glamour.

Meanwhile, in another room, Josh and their little boy enjoyed quality time with family as they got ready for the big moment. The day was brimming with warmth and love as everyone prepared for the 5 PM ceremony at the cloister.

Emily shared a heartfelt moment with her father before he prepared to walk her down the aisle - a stunning circular path adorned with vibrant red flowers and a fountain at its center, leading to the cloister.

A ceremony filled with love and precious family moments

At 5 PM, the ceremony began with a meaningful processional. Josh walked down the aisle first, followed by their guests, and finally Emily made her grand entrance on her father's arm, looking absolutely radiant. Her one bridesmaid was seated, ready to witness this beautiful moment.

The aisle led to the cloister where Josh, their son, and their family waited, with views of the majestic Ravello mountains and the dreamy Amalfi Coast as their backdrop. Our wedding coordinator in Italy in Italy was there to ensure no hiccups would bring any stress to the occasion.

Perhaps the sweetest moment of all? Their little boy toddled up to Emily during the ceremony, gave her a hug, and promptly fell asleep in her arms - a picture-perfect, unscripted family memory that everyone will cherish forever.

The ceremony was simple yet deeply meaningful, with no speeches to interrupt the intimate atmosphere they wanted to create for their closest family members.

On to the fun part - cocktails and dinner!

After the ceremony, the celebration shifted into cocktails and light bites! Guests enjoyed drinks on consumption at the hotel's scenic cloister terrace, soaking in the breathtaking atmosphere and mingling with loved ones. Emily and Josh kept their bridal photoshoot brief, choosing instead to spend every precious moment with their family.

At 6 PM, everyone gathered at the small terrace for an authentic Italian dinner. The venue provided beautiful menu prints, and guests were seated according to thoughtfully placed name cards. Little Archie had his high chair positioned at the end of the table, while everyone enjoyed a delicious pizza and pasta menu that perfectly captured the essence of Italian cuisine.

The venue beautifully accommodated dietary needs, preparing special options for two pescatarians and ensuring all dishes were safe for the guest with allergies to almonds, walnuts, pecans, seafood, and cold meats.

The highlight of the evening? Emily's special request came to life as she decorated the toppings on their custom white cake herself, adding custard, fresh vibrant berries, and whipped cream in front of her delighted family. The joy on her face was absolutely priceless!
