Story

It’s intimidating to get married abroad, let alone plan your big day in a strange place with a different language. But some couples won’t give up until they get to their dream destination to say, “I do.” Andrew and Maegan are one of those couples. Their courageous hearts took them (and eight guests) atop Ravello for a breathtaking ceremony in front of a dreamy paradise called Amalfi.

A clear vision for a clear summer elopement day

There was no better season to get married for these two. Andrew and Maegan have always been drawn to the energy and beauty of summer, and they would not let anything stop them from tying the knot under the warm summer sun.

Aside from their favorite season, Andrew and Maegan had another non-negotiable - Italy. As lovers of everything la dolce vita, the two had always imagined themselves saying I do in a beautiful Italian location that would be one of their core memories as a couple.

Although they had not met us yet, the plan to get married in Italy had always been there. And then they reached out to us a year before their planned Italian elopement.

From their first call with Eleonora, our wedding planner in Italy, they hit the ground running and started giving shape to their dream elopement. They planned and finalized the guest count, decided what elements were most important for them, and how many days they would stay in Italy, and most importantly, where they would say their 'I do’s.'

The venue that made everything perfect!

And Amalfi won by a knockout. The moment they saw the terraced pastel buildings of this Italian region, the quaint villages, restaurants, cafes, villas, and the scenic coastline, they immediately said yes.

Among the several stunning venues in Amalfi, they picked this 13th-century antique hotel in Campania, which was designed for unforgettable vacations and breathtaking celebrations. The terraces and courtyard offer sweeping views of the panoramic coast. - the Apennine mountains, the villages dotted with classy hotels and villas, and the blue sea that extends far and wide.

Who can say no to a scene like this?

Summer love on top of Campania

Their special day finally came early summer of 2024. Everything was bright, light, and beautiful. Andrew and Maegan got ready in the hotel’s sunlit rooms, with a handful of loved ones and their elopement team assisting them.

Once they were in their wedding dress and suit, the two had an exciting first look at the hotel’s terrace facing the mountains. The look on each other’s faces was pure joy. Their genuine smiles set the tone of the whole affair.

Her parents walked Maegan down the aisle at the hotel’s courtyard, still with scenic coastal views behind them. Their only decor was an elaborate yet minimalist-elegant wedding arch composed of dreamy baby’s breath covering the greenery and white roses straight out of a fairytale.

They held a unity sand ceremony and released balloons to celebrate. After the ceremony, Andrew and Maegan had the chance to sneak out for a bit to have their photoshoot in the hotel’s vibrant gardens.

An elegant green-and-white themed dinner on the hotel’s terrace

Then it was all about their favorite people. Andrew and Maegan brought only eight special people in their lives, and everyone received the grandest experience!

They dined al fresco on the terrace overlooking the coast, seated at a beautifully styled eco-themed table. A garland of white roses and fresh greenery ran the length of the table, accented by elegant candelabras. Overhead, hanging floral ornaments added a magical touch, creating the perfect setting to enjoy pasti deliziosi.
