Autumn outdoor wedding with castle backdrop in Bern
We booked with Peach Perfect 1 year ahead. We chose this company due to high ratings and eventually their great communication. We searched for another very highly rated company but unfortunately the owner's communication and timing was poor, and the owner was not the one coordinating the wedding. We connected quickly with Vanessza from Peach Perfect. Vanessza was very attentive, cooperative, and easy to work with. She did an amazing job. She kept contact with us throughout the year, via email and phone calls. When our first selection didn't work out for our party size, she gave us great recommendations on another venue, which we were very happy we made the change. She was a point of contact with all our questions and relayed information back and forth to the venue and vendors very well. Our wedding day was very smooth and we were very happy with how it turned out. Not many things could have improved as it was very good. Also, she helped keep us on time during the day. We highly recommend Peach Perfect and Vanessza!
Story
Describing Kristy and Tim’s big day as a destination wedding in a Swiss castle amidst Switzerland’s unspoiled nature already gives you a hint that that day was nothing but magical. They had an intimate wedding with closest friends and family who came all the way from the US to witness their exchange of vows in a nature-stricken European country. Here’s how the rest of the day goes and everything about planning this magical day.
Planning their destination wedding in Switzerland
Vanessza, our wedding planner in Switzerland, and the couple had less than a year to plan this destination wedding. Bringing 40 guests to a wedding abroad sounds overwhelming, especially when they are all coming miles away from the venue. Nevertheless, the right suppliers and an experienced planner can lead you to the fulfillment of your dream destination wedding. Vanessza started planning Kristy and Tim’s wedding in the last month of 2022, 9 months before their big day. The first venue choice was not suitable for the size of their wedding party, so Vanessza recommended this castle in Bern, which can accommodate their group of 40 people. There were no intricacies involved in planning their big day because the venue is complete with all their needs from the rooms for the preps to the wedding reception. Kristy and Tim’s request was very simple - a beautiful venue for their dreamy destination wedding in Switzerland where all of them can have a good time amidst stunning nature. With a Swiss castle like this, a wedding wish like that will surely come true.
About the wedding venue
We’re not surprised that couples looking for a fairytale wedding for their intimate group always fall in love with this lakeside Swiss castle when they see it. It’s love at first sight with this castle because of its location next to a scenic alpine lake, the mountain views right in front, the building’s historic facade, and elegant interiors. There are indoor and outdoor options for the ceremony, but the most romantic celebrations happen outdoors, with astounding nature in full view and manicured gardens around you. Aside from its lovely event spaces, the castle also accommodates up to 18 persons onsite, so couples and their intimate groups can stay longer to enjoy the venue’s romantic atmosphere. These venue features made Kristy and Tim decide to choose this Swiss castle as their once-in-a-lifetime destination for their wedding.
The romantic outdoor ceremony
There’s no place in the castle more fitting for a romantic ceremony than outdoors, with the alpine lake, mountains, and forest in full view. Kristy and Tim made the right choice by saying I do outside the castle amid the wide open space covered in greenery. They had a surreal backdrop, and everyone enjoyed the views and the peaceful atmosphere outdoors. It was a warm and bright autumn day when they tied the knot, and every element of nature was emphasized by the sunlight. The lake was sparkling under the sun’s rays, the greens were vibrant, and the mountains were breathtaking. Patio umbrellas protected the guests as they witnessed Kristy and Tim’s exchange of vows. It was a meaningful and touching ceremony where the couple and their guests shed a tear as Kristy and Tim’s dream wedding became a reality right before their eyes.
The castle wedding dinner and party
Before it got dark, Kristy and Tim used the remaining time to have their photos taken with their wedding guests. Unlike most couples who would spend the time roaming around the venue for their bridal photoshoot, Kristy and Tim spent most of the time on group photos, ensuring that their guests have plenty of photos with them in their astounding wedding venue. After the photoshoot, the whole group enjoyed cocktails and snacks outdoors while admiring the views and taking photos. When it was time for dinner, they entered the royal banquet hall, where they enjoyed sumptuous food and danced the night away. Kristy and Tim started the party with their beautiful first dance!
