About this venue

Highlights

The owners of this former aristocratic residence might have had intimate occasions in mind when they restored this large Umbrian wedding villa into what it is today. Undoubtedly, this 18th-century villa is one of the most wonderful venues for small weddings in Italy. Look at that charming residence surrounded by picturesque valleys and lush greenery. It has a sophisticated courtyard, spacious and vibrant gardens, and a small church on the property — all of which are perfect spots for very intimate weddings.

Ceremony

All areas of the villa testify to its history as an aristocratic residence in the 18th century. Every room is decorated with period furniture carefully preserved to showcase the bygone era. Authentic terracotta floors from hundreds of years ago still make up the foundation of the building.

As you can see in the photos, you will feel transported back in time as you step into this estate, but there is a big surprise — the whole building was carefully renovated to make every celebration complete with modern amenities.

The event spaces were redesigned to host beautiful weddings with a Tuscan vibe. The outdoor grounds of the villa definitely look amazing for groups of 30 people or more. They all provide a surreal backdrop composed of Italian rolling hills, vineyards, and olive groves. In case of adverse weather, the ceremony for elopements and very intimate weddings can be held in the 16-square-meter tower situated on the villa rooftop.

Check in with our Italian wedding planner who knows this villa so well and she will help you pick the right space for the ceremony that you envision. After all, whatever you pick from our wedding packages in Italy will include the ceremony as part of the services.

Reception

If you want to have an outdoor banquet for the reception, pick any portion of the garden, the courtyard, or the area around the Gelsi House's swimming pool. Your indoor dining options, on the other hand, include the Dolium Restaurant and a separate dedicated function room for groups of up to 50 people.

Accommodation

Even before the ceremony, you can have amazing photos taken inside the venue's rooms. Choose from among its 27 elegant rooms and suites, divided into five different country houses, starting from the Historic Villa to the Olives House, to the Limonaia, to the Olivaia, to the Gelsi House.

Each is reminiscent of 18th-century art and culture with frescoes, classic terracotta floors, sophisticated Montefalco textiles, and antique furnishings. All the rooms are equipped with the necessary amenities for a grand and relaxing atmosphere.

Facilities

After the wedding, indulge in the spa — a "heavenly sanctuary" right in front of the villa's Italian gardens. It offers luxury treatments like massage therapy and relaxing facial treatments in an 18th-century setting. This is your honeymoon treat — a relaxing spa experience using the villa's modern facilities while taking in the Tuscan vibe of the whole estate. Isn't this experience what an unforgettable Italian destination wedding and honeymoon are supposed to be?
