My Husband and I got married in July 2023 in Lake Como Italy. Our wedding planner Eleonora G. was incredible. She made the entire planning process a breeze. She was very timely in responses, super informative and in touch throughout the entire process. All of the vendors were amazing and on time! I would 10/10 recommend using Peach Perfect Weddings if you want your wedding day to be picture perfect!
Story
Like most of our couples who fly all the way to Europe for an unforgettable wedding, Nicholas and Danner brought only the most special people in their lives for their big day in Italy. This once-in-a-lifetime event included only 19 of the couple’s closest friends and family, making it an exclusive and extra-special day for all of them. Coming all the way from the US, they all made time to witness Nicholas and Danner’s exchange of vows along the scenic Lake Como and celebrated with them for three days. Here’s the rest of their story from the planning stages to their bright and vibrant wedding day in Laglio.
Planning their destination wedding in Italy
Our wedding planner, Eleonora, and the couple, Nicholas and Danner, had nine months to plan this destination wedding in Italy. The two carefully planned their guest list, keeping in mind that attending their wedding meant traveling from the US to Italy for a three-day trip. They were able to give us the exact count of their wedding guests early on, together with the important details that we needed to take note of while preparing for their big day. Eleonora had to know specific information to help her plan the menu and the safety precautions for the guests. Wedding planning involves a plethora of preparations from communicating with the couple and the suppliers, to the nitty gritty of knowing the guests’ allergies, and drink preferences, among others.
Since Nicholas and Danner had a 3-month-old guest, Eleonora had to make sure that the venue was conducive for babies. Gladly, her communication with the couple was excellent, leading to a stress-free and “picture-perfect” wedding day.
About the wedding venue
This magical Italian villa offers a magical atmosphere for couples looking to have an unforgettable wedding in Italy. Perched on a high slope of the scenic Amalfi villages, this dreamy location offers breathtaking views of the sea and the magical pastel buildings of Amalfi cascading towards the lake. The ceremony and reception areas are open spaces providing astounding lake views, whilst some spaces for private gatherings are rooms that are safe from unfavorable weather.
Laglio is a popular town along Lake Como because aside from the scenic views it offers, it’s also home to George Clooney’s mansion.
The romantic day that was
Nicholas and Danner brought 19 guests to their big day in Italy, and they were there helping the couple prepare for the ceremony. Danner’s family and friends surrounded her as she dolled up for her big day. She got all the assistance that she needed, including a bottle of wine that was handed to her to keep her calm and happy as the wedding hour neared.
Finally, they all went to the ceremony area at the main terrace with plenty of natural light to keep the ambiance fresh and bright. The terrace was a covered area without walls so that the couple and the guests could still see the lake views from the side.
The after-ceremony photoshoot
After that, the couple went for an unforgettable photoshoot with the breathtaking lakeside Italian towns of Como in the background. Riding a boat, they savored the beauty of their chosen destination with each other’s company while their guests enjoyed the drinks reception at the villa.
The wedding reception
Nicholas and Danner got back to the venue while there was still light so they could enjoy an unforgettable sunset dinner with their friends and loved ones. Danner changed her bridal wear into a more relaxed above-the-knee tube dress so she could comfortably dance her First Dance with Nicholas which earned the applause and smiles of their guests. The afternoon ended with a lovely dinner by the lake where all of them were seated at one long table, enjoying the sumptuous dinner and the perfect ambiance for a memorable get-together.
