Greens in full bloom during a spring elopement in Kerry
Story
Ireland is a dreamy place for adventurers, lovers, and poets. There are scenic landscapes that inspire fairytales and romance. Breathtaking places that you would wish to go home to every waking day of your life. No wonder millions of couples around the world only have Ireland in mind when imagining their wedding in Europe.
One such couple is Dale and Timothy. They wanted nothing else, but Ireland for their destination wedding, and they made that dream come true. With no guests on their list, this beautiful couple flew to Ireland to make their destination wedding dream come true.
Planning their destination wedding in Ireland
Planning Dale and Timothy’s big day in Ireland was not a walk in the park because they lived miles away from Ireland, in Los Angeles, USA. Nevertheless, the couple did not have too many requests. They just wanted a simple and meaningful ceremony in a quiet Irish town with no guests or crowds, and only the two of them enjoying the whole Irish destination wedding experience.
The absence of guests also meant zero stress in wedding planning, so Dale and Timothy had a simple to-do list to accomplish. They only needed to select from the wedding venue and event suppliers that we suggested, tell us the exact date of their wedding, and all the special requests that they could think of.
They loved the castle ruins in Kerry, and their wedding date was near the summer season, so everything was perfect! We also helped them book a nearby hotel for their wedding preparations.
About the wedding venue
Dale and Timothy’s chosen location was an enchanting castle ruin in the middle of a field with greens as far as the eye can see. It was everything that an adventurer could dream of! It is located in the middle of the green Irish landscapes and carries with it centuries of history within its walls. Spring is also a wonderful time to get married here because spots like this castle ruin get crowded with tourists during summer. Gladly, Dale and Timothy chose a date in May for their big day.
The romantic day that was
On the day of their wedding, the couple got ready in a hotel near the castle ruins. The lovely hotel has picturesque gardens where the two had their first look. It was a wonderful spot with hanging plants in a romantic gazebo, which was perfect for the photoshoot.
After that, Dale and Timothy traveled for 45 minutes to their ceremony spot, and every second was worth it! The historic building was covered in fresh greenery, and the hills where it stood were teeming with vibrant grasses. It was a dreamland!
Their photographer did not miss the chance to take photos of the couple while walking towards the castle ruins, and the background was simply awesome! Wedding ceremonies are not allowed inside the castle ruins, so Dale and Timothy exchanged vows just outside, with the amazing building as their backdrop.
The majestic sea, the quaint Irish villages, and the mountains formed a collage of scenic natural backdrop on the other side of the hills. Dale and Timothy hired a talented Irish musician to play the harp, and the romantic music played in the background the whole ceremony.
The wedding photoshoot and dinner
Only wedding ceremonies were allowed in the castle, so the newlyweds were able to have unlimited photoshoots after they exchanged vows. They climbed up the second floor of the castle, next to the arched window frames, and in the most scenic parts of the building for their photoshoot.
After maximizing the historic ruin for their wedding photos, Dale and Timothy went back to the hotel for a private dinner for two. They had sweets, tea, and wine as they talked about the amazing wedding that they had.
