Autumn sunsets and a beach-side castle: Reza & Zoe's wedding in Portugal

From the moment their loved ones gathered on the castle terrace beneath the autumn sunset, it was clear that Reza & Zoe's wedding day in Portugal would be one for the books.

Our lovely couple curated an intimate wedding that focussed on the deepest purpose of a wedding - true connection shared with beloved people. Their story proves that when you focus on what truly matters - the people you love and the place that captures your heart - magic happens.

We cannot wait to share a little glimpse of that magic here.

Late morning in a palace amongst family and friends

From the very first moments, Reza and Zoe's wedding day promised to be filled with warmth and fun. Our couple got ready in the elegant Hotel Palácio on a bright autumn day without a cloud in the sky. The bride and her bridesmaids began with hair & makeup styling in the trusted hands of our lovely stylist, all the while taking photographs and enjoying the start of the wedding day.

Just a few rooms over, the groom and his groomsmen prepared without rush in the royal blue suite and even found time to taste some whiskey before the ceremony began.

Under the guidance of their photographer, Reza and Zoe took pre-ceremony photos around the grounds of their historic hotel, with the exquisite chandelier-lit lobby hallways creating an elegant setting.

Sunset ceremony atop the castle walls

A fairytale was born the moment everyone sat in the ceremony area on the castle balcony, with a lush ceremony arch framed against the ocean.

Live musicians filled the air as the groom's anticipation ended when his bride walked down the aisle to "Can't Help Falling in Love," and everyone rose.

When Reza held Zoe's hand against the coastal backdrop, the photographer captured their guests smiling their widest smiles. The sun beamed bright yellow rays on the wedding party as vows were spoken, and happy tears were shed.

With this beachside castle overlooking the scenic Portuguese coast, and a dedicated wedding coordinator in Portugal working her magic from planning to execution, the day fulfilled its full promise.

Cocktail hour with coastal views

Following the ceremony, guests moved seamlessly into cocktail hour on the castle's balconies overlooking the Atlantic Ocean.

The autumn breeze carried the sound of live musicians performing as loved ones mingled with champagne and Portuguese appetizers in hand.

The golden hour light bathed the historic fortress in warm amber tones, creating a magical atmosphere as guests enjoyed the spectacular coastal scenery. This relaxed hour allowed everyone to celebrate while Reza and Zoe slipped away for their couple portraits.

The castle's outdoor terraces provided the perfect setting for guests to connect and soak in the beauty of their surroundings before the evening festivities began.

Golden hour portraits

While guests enjoyed cocktails, Reza and Zoe took advantage of Portugal's famous golden hour for their couple portraits. With sunset arriving, their photographer captured them against the dramatic backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean and Sintra Mountains.

A dinner with Portuguese flavours

As evening descended, the celebration moved to the castle's airy marquee for dinner and dancing. Dinner featured local Portuguese flavours, accompanied by wines. The couple cut their cake under the stars and returned for their first dance accompanied by a live saxophonist.

A celebration of love and Portuguese beauty

A DJ accompanied by a live saxophone musician set the tone for the night. The first dance was followed by a night of dance and new memories made.
