Absolutely! Within three days after the ceremony is over you must send the signed marriage schedule back to the Registrar (or hand it in personally). Afterwards you will be able to order a copy of your marriage certificate online. To register the marriage in your home country just take this marriage certificate to the local courthouse or other government body which is responsible for the civil register in your country.
Unlike the Republic of Ireland, the legal requirements to get married in Northern Ireland are slightly simpler. You must give the Registrar a minimum of 28 days notice before the suggested wedding date (versus 3 months in the republic of Ireland). The marriage application can be submitted by post and both yourself and the Officiant will need to sign hard copies of the application form. (There is no requirement for an in-person meeting with the Registrar). Non-UK, EEA or Swiss citizens will also need to obtain a Marriage Visa and complete an Immigration Status Statement. Proof of both these documents needs to be submitted together with your Marriage Notice Application Form.
The warmest months of the year in Northern Ireland are July and August, however they are also some of the wettest. On average, the rainiest month tends to be October whilst April and May is when you can enjoy the least amount of rain. We advice to avoid eloping to Northern Ireland during the colder months between November and March. Whilst the best month to get married in Northern Ireland is probably May because it sees the least amount of rain, most hours of sunshine per day and relatively high temperatures. Please do not predict the weather when you choose your wedding date! Choose what feels natural of meaningful for you and it’s going to be just perfect, rain or not.
Yes! In the case of all except Civil ceremonies performed by the Registrar and traditional Catholic (or other religious) ceremonies you can customise your ceremony wording. You can write and say your own vows in all types of ceremonies.
No, when doing a symbolic ceremony (i.e. non legally-binding ceremony) there are no legal requirements to follow!

Weather in Northern Ireland
Get married in Northern Ireland expecting momentary drizzles. It’s a mountainous region and it receives around 10-15 days of rain each month, even in summer, so be prepared! But you know, rainfalls usually last only for a short period of time in Norther Ireland, plus they make for a perfectly dramatic atmosphere for wedding photoshoots. So the best options for an outdoor wedding in Northern Ireland would be to just wait for some minutes for the rain to pass, or to book your accommodation in a nice hotel with some sort of common space where your ceremony could take place – in case the rainfall really doesn’t stop!
To enjoy nature at its best, elope to Northern Ireland between July and August. In these summer months, in fact, greenery looks so colorful and vibrant, temperatures are mild and rainfalls are a bit less expected. But what characterizes the most this region are falling leaves and golden tones, right? For this kind of scenery, come and get married in Northern Ireland during fall (from August to October) or spring (from February to April). During these months, you’ll assist to a lovely transformation of trees from green to gold, red and brown.
From November to March winter is at its peak in Northern Ireland, and we actually don’t advise our couples to elope there during this period of the year. You could just feel uncomfortable for the cold temperatures and the rain.
Yana was absolutely amazing. I was so relaxed on the day knowing everything was taken care of. She made my dream wedding a reality and even helped me into my wedding dress! Yana was never pushy and always took our thoughts into consideration. She also chose the best wedding photographer we could have asked for. The florist, makeup and hair stylist, and officiant were all incredible as well. I never once doubted Yana as she was always in touch as I lived in America and my husband lived in France. I would highly recommend Peach Perfect Weddings to anyone who wants their dream destination wedding to become a reality!
If you want to throw a good wedding, you hire a planner. If you want to throw a GREAT wedding, you hire Yana. I cannot begin to tell you how easy she made everything for us. She even considered details we hadn’t (table arrangements, seating, the send-off). Yana always worked with OUR interests in mind first and took our budget concerns into account. AND she even volunteered to do little things for us, like put together the welcome bags or pick up the favors we’d created. On the weekend of, each event flowed seamlessly into the next. We didn’t have to waste a single moment worrying about how the wedding and reception were going. I highly recommend.
