Places to Elope in Germany
Our Elopement Packages for Germany focus on the beautiful nature and historic buildings in Bavaria. Here aresome ideas for romantic ceremony locations and unique wedding venues for your intimate Wedding, to Elope or renew your Vows.
Castles and Churches
Nestled between the breath-taking beauty of the Bavarian alps and forests, you will find some of the most charming castles for your Elopement in Germany. From smaller royal summer residences to the famous fairytale-castles alongside the “Romantic Road” – the historically rich sites come in all forms and sizes. Poetic gardens or private parks are often part of the royal home and can also become locations to elope to Germany. For religious ceremonies you can choose between some beautiful intimate chapels and churches to say yes.
Forests and Lakes
Many natural spots in Germany have been protected from influences of modern life and now seem to come straight out of a fairytale. The Bavarian Forest is the largest protected area in central Europe. It is home to tall mountains, hidden lakes and quiet mountain villages in between. Marry underneath an ancient oak tree or speak your vows at an undisturbed clearing in the woods. The forests in Bavaria and their lakes will make for wonderful ceremony locations for your Elopement in Germany and stunning wedding photos!
Say yes – 1500 km above the ground! In Bavaria there is certainly no shortage of beautiful Mountain Locations for your Wedding. Have your wedding at a cosy wooden cabin or choose to stay in an elegant Lodge with all possible luxuries for you and your guests. Thinking about a winter wedding? Imagine saying your vows against the backdrop of snow covered treetops and mountain peaks in the distance. Amazing pictures are guaranteed – at any time of the year!
Having the perfect Garden Wedding in Germany is a piece of cake! Choose between sumptuous, flowering gardens in front of royal castles or rather secluded, grassy fields for your intimate Wedding or Elopement. Looking for something a little more out of the ordinary? The unusual rock formations of the “Sanspareil Rock Gardens” have fascinated visitors for centuries. Today they make for a unique ceremony location and a perfect place for your wedding photo shoot.
We want to make your vision become reality! While we offer you a range of select venues to choose from, we are constantly looking to discover new locations for unique Weddings and Elopements in Germany. If you have a certain place in mind, something with a special meaning for the two of you or just a Wedding Venue you’ve always been dreaming of – talk to us! Tell us how you picture your Elopement and let us help you find the perfect place to elope to Germany.
Our Packages are good for…
Eloping gives you the freedom to focus completely on each other and fully enjoy your wedding day. To elope to Germany can mean to go for an Intimate Wedding for two or to invite some of your closest family and friends to join you. Our keep-it-simple Elopement-Packages are perfect for groups up to ca. 20 people.
A small wedding spares you the hassle (and expanse) of a “normal” wedding. Based on our packages for Elopements & Vow Renewals, this option is perfect for couples who still like to keep things simple, but want to share this moment with family and friends. Our Small Wedding Packages are designed for groups of ca. 20 to 60 people.
Regardless of if you have been married five or fifty years, renewing your vows is a meaningful way to celebrate your marriage. Because a Vow Renewal is not a legally binding ceremony, you don’t have to worry about legal requirements and are free in your choices for location, date and officiant for your Vow Renewal in Germany.

Anytime! Every season has its own charms (and downsides). When visiting in winter, there is a good chance to have temperatures below freezing, so don’t forget to pack warm clothes! On the other hand you can take advantage of beautiful snow fall and Germany’s iconic Christmas Markets, like the historic “Christkidlesmarkt” in Nuremberg.
During autumn and spring the weather is often unpredictable. You can have pouring rain on one day and warm sunshine the next. Consider this when choosing the location for your Elopement in Germany!
The German summer has mostly mild weather with few rainfalls every couple days or weeks. This is the “safest” time for an outdoor ceremony in Germany and the blooming nature looks great on your wedding pictures.
If you are lucky, the weather will stay dry on your wedding day or only last a couple of minutes. But generally speaking, rain can be expected during any time of the year, so it’s best to have a plan B for the wedding venue.
Yes! In most cases (including USA and UK) a marriage registered in Germany will be completely legal back home. As long as you follow all legal requirements in Germany, your marriage will be treated as if it had been registered in you home country.
Absolutely! Once you’ve booked and began the elopement planning process with us we will ask you to tell you preferences for each element. For flowers, send us reference photos of bridal bouquets that you like and our florist will match this as closely as possible. For music, work directly with the Musician to establish your music preferences or choose form a list of songs recommended by us. For Wedding Cake, tell us your preferred flavour and finishing style. A reference picture also helps here!
Step 1: Choose your Ceremony Location and any desired Add-on services.
Step 2: Pick your date (ideally a few options) and schedule a quick consultation call with us to check the availability and to go over your enquiry.
Step 3: Once we talked and you are happy to proceed, you can sign the booking agreement and pay the required deposit (min. €1,000 / $1300 /£900). This deposit goes towards securing all the wedding professionals for your date.
Step 4: If you are having a legal ceremony, make contact with the Registrar to begin the paperwork process. Don’t worry, we will tell you exactly who to contact!
Step 5: Now we put you directly in touch with your assigned Officiant or Celebrant to begin writing your bespoke ceremony outline.
Step 6: Follow our ‘Next Steps’ guideline (sent to you upon receipt of the deposit) to let us know your preference for Flowers, Bride’s Hairstyle, Wedding Cake, etc.
Step 7: Two weeks before the wedding date, we will double-check everything with our team and send you a detailed Timeline of the day, together with all the contacts.
Step 8: On the big day, just relax and enjoy your stress-free Elopement! In case you need us, we will be here to sort out any issues or help otherwise.
We’ve already chosen the best vendors for you! When booking your elopement with Peach Perfect Weddings, you are hiring a team of established wedding professionals working together to produce the perfect wedding experience for you. Over the years we hand-picked a group of reliable suppliers for each location and have been working with these suppliers for every elopement. By always working with the same team of people are have been able to negotiate the best rates for your clients as well as ensuring that each supplier is very familiar with the location, flow of the day and their role in producing the perfect wedding day for you. So when you book an elopement with us we will assign specific vendors to your wedding based on your requirements and ceremony location.
Here is an example of what a “typical” elopement day can look like. The exact timings will vary for your elopement depending on where and when you choose to have your ceremony, your special requests etc. Remember that no two weddings are the same – so the below timeline is just to give you an idea!

18:00 – Wedding cake delivered to restaurant
18:30 – Bride & Groom enjoy romantic dinner in restaurant
If you’ve chosen to get married in an outdoor location, remember there is always the risk that you will get wet. An indoor ceremony backup plan usually comes at an additional cost, regardless of whether you actually end up using it or not. We advice our clients that unless the weather is particularly bad, it’s usually enough to just postpone the ceremony by about half an hour to allow the rain to pass. But in the case of expected prolonged rain, our advice is to make sure you book your wedding night accommodation at a nice hotel that has a suitable room (usually a communal area of the hotel or a dedicated function room) where you can hold the ceremony as a last resort.
We take payments in Euros, US Dollars or British Pounds. Payment can be sent by direct bank transfer (international wire transfer) or paid via Credit Card or PayPal. Payments made by Credit Card and PayPal subject to a 5% transaction fee.
The deposit is calculated based on how far in advance you book with us and whether you opt for any Add-ons to the basic package. The minimum deposit is €1,000 or 25% of the total package, whichever is higher. The closer you book to the wedding date, the higher your deposit will be. For example, if the lead-up time to your elopement is shorter than 6 months, we will require a 50% deposit at the time of booking. Whilst couples booking over 12 months in advance can secure their date with us with a 25% down payment.
Yes! We take payment in 2, 3 or 4 equal instalments split into a deposit at time of booking, 2nd payment at 12 months before, 3rd payment at 6 months before and balance at 30 days before the wedding. The number of instalments applicable to you will depend on how far in advance you book your Elopement Package with us.
Yes! In the case of all except Civil ceremonies performed by the Registrar and traditional Catholic ceremonies you can customise your ceremony wording. You can write and say your own vows in all types of ceremonies.
No, when doing a Symbolic (i.e. non legally-binding ceremony) there are no legal requirements to follow!
