Step back in time and experience French country living at its finest when you get married here at the La Lauren’s guest house. This private and very intimate wedding venue is located among the lavender fields of Provence, a historical region in southern France dotted with picturesque villages and nature’s attractions.
The guest house itself is a charming 17th century stone house filled with crawling greenery on every side. It has three double rooms, making it an ideal venue for an elopement in France. You and the love of your life can stay here before and after the wedding, since the venue is complete with enchanting ceremony spots, spacious rooms for lodging, and an indoor reception area with a medieval fireplace!
You’d love to elope in the lavender fields of Provence or under the shade of the estate’s huge trees. You can have a symbolic ceremony for two in these open areas that lend a view to the French landscape with the magical lavender fields.
The place is also ideal for a small wedding with under 10 guests. For something as intimate as this, you can have it in the venue’s gorgeous French garden, or along the paths of the breathtaking lavender fields. Some of the couples who eloped here had symbolic ceremonies with a scenic backdrop of the sunset behind Mont Ventoux.
Any of these outdoor areas lend a view to the lavender fields, so rest assured your wedding photos will have them on the background. After all, it’s the main reason why couples get married here.
Flexible as it is, this lavender fields wedding venue can also accommodate up to 80 guests for the ceremony. This larger crowd can be accommodated in the venue’s large lawn shaded by the blue cedars and lime trees, so worry not if you’re bringing a bigger group of friends and family members with you when you elope to France.
After the ceremony, enjoy a lovely dinner prepared by La Lauren’s chef à domicile, Damien Gillon. You can have an intimate dinner for two under the trees in the delightful garden. If you brought a bigger group with you, you can have the large lawn arranged for a lovely outdoor reception.
What we love even more about the La Lauren is it’s isolatation from the busy tourist spots in the region. If you read the reviews of this small wedding venue in Provence, you’ll see how the guests loved their stay here because they were not bothered by the noise of the tourists who travel to this region to see the lavender fields.
Plus, it's one of the most affordable private guest houses with features as complete and elegant as these.
Another reason why we highly recommend this exclusive wedding venue in Provence is its ability to accommodate you and your guests. We know how you’d love to own the place to yourself for as long as your stay here in France. Great news for you because this intimate wedding venue in Provence offers a package for exclusive use of the whole place for three days!
This package includes the privatization of the entire house and it's three bedrooms. Up to 6 guests can stay in these three bedrooms, the Toscane room, Provence room, and the Provence suite. All three have their own private shower rooms, but only the Toscane room offers a view of the French garden.
If you’re having a small wedding with more than 6 guests, you can book rooms in the nearby hotels, namely the Château de la Gabelle, Résidence Château Ferrassières, or the Résidence de vacances Le Claux Du Puits, all of which are under 10 minutes away from the venue.
As an added treat, enjoy recreational activities like hiking, swimming in the river, and bicycling. There’s also a spa nearby where you can relax and invigorate. You can even rest within the confines of the venue while you learn some culinary skills from the venue’s chef à domicile. Yes, Chef Damien offers cooking classes for truffle-making, Verrines cocktail creation, and fish or meat cooking. Choose which of these cooking lessons you’d want to have.
But if you ask us, we advise that after the wedding, just drive for a few hours within the region, watching the scenic views of its old villages dotted with stone houses. Buy fresh cheese from the local shops and take them to your temporary address here in France. Maybe drink some wine and have a taste of the regional cuisines from the restaurants nearby.
When you’re in a place as beautiful as Provence, you don’t really need to do much to have a vacation to remember.
