Ireland Elopement on a Cliff
Rachel & Mark
Yana was absolutely amazing. She did a phenomenal job planning our intimate destination elopement at the Cliffs of Moher. We felt so taken care of from the planning stages to the actual day. She has wonderful taste and was knowledgeable with the best photographer, florist and celebrant in the area. We couldn’t have done it without her. I felt she worked very hard to cater the day to what we wanted out of our wedding, offering suggestions but always making sure to account for our desires regarding even the smallest things. We could not be happier with everything and would not hesitate to recommend her to any couples looking for a quality wedding planner. It truly was perfect for us and we can’t thank Yana enough.
From the looks of these two, you can tell right away that Rachel and Mark are a very young couple. She’s from America while he lives in Brighton, UK. But despite their young age, we could see that they’re both ready to tie the knot. In fact, they wanted to have an out-of-the box marriage celebration so they went for an Ireland elopement.
This couple surely did not want an ordinary ceremony. Since they are going for a wedding overseas, they did not settle for just another religious site or events place, but a destination spot over 700 feet above the Atlantic coast!
From the very beginning, Rachel and Mark knew that they wanted to keep their wedding very low key. They made that clear as soon as they sent an enquiry to us, saying they are just inviting a few people along. That includes their immediate families and Rachel’s best friend. They kept their word and we helped them make their decision to go for an Ireland elopement worth all the suppressed excitement and careful planning.
A couple months after getting married in Ireland, they had a reveal party to tell the rest of their friends about it.
On the day of their wedding, there were only eleven guests. Rachel looked pretty in her high-street dress with a denim jacket. She wore a pair of Tieks folding ballerina flats, knowing that they would later have a long walk for a picture-taking. Mark, on the other hand, opted for a “suit sans jacket” attire.
They all went to one of the most loved elopement locations in Ireland, the Cliffs of Moher. While everyone was so excited, we were confronted with one challenge. It was a particularly windy day! And although it is always windy on the Cliffs of Moher, that day was a bit more intense than the ordinary. However, no amount of wind could stop the group from having an amazing time!
If you look at their photos, you wouldn’t even think that the weather was a problem. The couple were all smiles, walking along the surreal ground of this Irish destination spot. When you go for an Ireland elopement, your wedding day should not end after the ceremony. You have to take all the opportunities you can get to have great photos against the cliffs, the ocean underneath, and the endless blue skies. That’s what Rachel and Mark did.
Not only that!
They also went to the iconic Gus O’Connor’s Pub that was built in 1832. Now, there is a tradition in this pub to sign a paper banknote and add it to the “Wall of Fame.” Rachel and Mark signed a dollar note and stuck it right above the bar where the “Wall of Fame” was. This was one of the most memorable moments of the couple’s Ireland elopement.
