Callenberg Castle is a place full of history dating back as far as the 12th century. Among the most famous visitors of the castle, you will find Queen Victoria of England who wrote in her diary about her visit at Callenberg and noted on its beautiful surroundings.

The castle is perched on top of a hill with a view over the softly rolling fields and green hills below it. Its neo-gothic architecture, the 400-year-old chapel as well as the exhibitions of old paintings and precious objects leave no doubt that you have set foot into an important part of German history.

Celebrate your intimate wedding in Germany in an elegant and timeless venue - be it with just your closest family or with as many as 160 guests. The castle offers rooms for all group sizes and wishes. For a smaller wedding party, you can rent the Belvedere Salon with its domed ceiling and the painted window glass. The Balcony Room is suitable for groups of up to 60 people and the Red Salon can seat 70 people.

If you take a look out of the window, you'll see the rose garden in front of the castle. The "royal roses" bloom every summer and create a beautiful backdrop for your outdoor ceremony in the warmer months of the year!

Callenberg Castle can be rented exclusively for your group if you'd like to celebrate your European castle wedding in Germany with a larger group of guests and want to ensure privacy. There is no accommodation on site but there are several hotels of all budgets available in towns nearby.
