About this venue
Highlights
Situated on a hill with a beautiful panoramic view under the Rocca of the medieval city of Asolo, this Italian villa near Venice was built in 1696 by Cardinal Rubini, the grandson of Alessandro VIII. From here you can enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding plains, where on a clear day you can see the Euganei hills and Venice. Asolo is the pearl of the Veneto region and “the city of a hundred horizons” as poet Giosuè Carducci described.
A charming place situated amongst the sweet hills and a destination for poets and writers, artists and travellers. By visiting this medieval town one can really experience its history and culture. You can also enjoy the typical dishes of the region. This Italian villa for weddings near Venice is protected by an ancient wall made of stones and bricks. Most tourists fall in love with the large park that surrounds the venue.
Surroundings
The property is surrounded by greeneries, including many typical trees that will constantly remind you that you’re in the most romantic place on Earth. Enjoy the view of the cypresses, olive trees, pittosporum, olea fragrance, and many other flowers, especially the beautiful and ancient climbing rose that over spring time creates a pleasant scent.
Ceremony
Say your “I do’s” in one of the beautiful spots in the garden for a memorable outdoor wedding with views of the Italian hills. You can also get married in the villa’s chapel that’s perfect for an intimate ceremony with a few family and friends.
Reception
On the east side of the villa is a large panoramic terrace near the chapel, covered by an ancient wisteria. Here, you can eat with your guests for the reception while enjoying a unique view on the hills of Asolo.
A nice fruit tree lined path leads to the panoramic swimming pool equipped with sun beds and changing room where your guests can enjoy their cocktails. You can choose to hold the dinner party here too.
Facilities
There are four main buildings in this villa for elopements and weddings near Venice. They are the main villa, the chapel which is the most ancient sanctuary made for honouring the Virgin Mary, and two wings: the Venetian barchesse, that were initially the barns and stables. Now, these Venetian barchesse have been built into residences.
There are two lounging areas, one near the rose garden path and the other outside the front villa. Another unique beauty of this Italian villa near Venice is the “stucchi” that enriches the walls and ceilings in the most sophisticated late Baroque movements. These precious decorations seem to embroider the walls and ceilings. Next to the swimming pool there is a sheltered area with a fully-equipped kitchenette, a barbecue, a fridge and a large dining table.
