About this venue

Highlights

After this barn function room near Belfast's renovation over the past few years, it's now a charming location for an intimate Northern Ireland wedding. This venue is situated in a historic village called Greyabbey on the shores of Strangford Lough. You’re sure to love it if you're dreaming of a rustic or boho-themed wedding out of the country.

Ceremony

Originally, this building had been a church with a style of a stone barn. Then it was transformed into a unique wedding and conference venue with a spacious function room that seats up to 130 guests. This function room is very easy to decorate with its charming bricked wall, an attractive green door in the middle, the wooden beams at the ceiling, and the antique chandeliers hanging above. Add up to all of these a terrace that lends a spectacular view of the Mourne Mountains. You and your guests can watch the sunset from this spot.

Reception

After the ceremony, you can have a small barbecue party or a fun reception program at the patio that extends to the bay, which is perfect for intimate weddings with 10-20 guests. If you want it indoors, move to the extended function room of the Treehouse that is surrounded by glass walls. It can accommodate up to 50 guests. While partying, enjoy the bespoke, sumptuous wedding banquet prepared to you by the venue’s experienced in-house chefs. They will give you menu suggestions for the reception so all you have to do is pick.

Photoshoot

For additional photo opportunities, you and your spouse can walk along the white-sand beach outside the tree house. This is a favorite spot of photographers for a post-nuptial photo shoot. Why not when it offers a panoramic backdrop of the Strangford Lough towards the Whiterock Bay?
