About this venue
After the ceremony, hold the reception at the Castle Courtyard with two reception rooms or at the Castle Barn with four reception rooms and a bar. Both of these indoor areas have a stage for the program and a dance floor for an unforgettable night! The Castle Barn is much bigger with up to 400 seating capacity.
As for an outdoor wedding, choose from the wide perimeter of the estate. We love how suitable this venue is for an elopement with only the bride and groom, the officiant, and the musician. Just imagine reciting your vows at the edge of the estate’s green woodland overlooking the lake. Or in front of the castle with the clock tower at the background. You can also choose from among the farmland areas of the this private estate for weddings and witness the animals roaming around as you exchange your vows.
This private estate for weddings in Antrim also offers daytime accommodation for bridal preparations in a bedroom with it's own en-suite bathroom. Parking is obviously not a problem here either.
It's a dream come true for brides who want a castle wedding in an elegant and historic setting. If you’re always Googling for outdoor wedding ideas, this will not disappoint. It's a huge tract of land that is heavily wooded, with both formal and informal outdoor areas. Some of these have bridges, a lake view, a walkway in the middle of a grassy and treed area, or a formal garden right in front of the central castle. Indoor weddings are also possible in the All Saints Church near the castle or in one of the cottages on the estate. The Castle Courtyard is another great option for an indoor ceremony where you can hang buntings and place decors according to whatever theme you want. This area can seat up to 120 persons but it can also be decorated to suit a very intimate wedding or an elopement for two.
This private estate for weddings in Antrim is more than a historic structure surrounded by the beauty of nature. It’s a huge estate packed with lakes, charming woodland, and cottages with the heavily guarded castle as its central attraction. It dates to as far back as the 13th century and has served couples as one of the best castle wedding venues in Northern Ireland since 1994.
