Story

It was a bright sunny day in May when Celena and Joseph traveled all the way to Ireland for their dream destination wedding. Their wedding day was not just about the celebration of their love, but it was also about giving their loved ones an amazing experience that they will treasure for a lifetime. Celena, Joseph, and their guests all reside in California, but they flew all the way to Ireland for a once-in-a-lifetime experience like this. The best part of their big day was the generous sun shining brightly on them during their outdoor ceremony. This is a rare occurrence because rains are frequent during the spring season in Ireland.

Planning their destination wedding in Ireland

Planning Celena and Joseph’s destination wedding in Ireland was not a walk in the park. Unlike the usual elopements and intimate weddings that we planned with only more or less ten guests, the couple had a guest list of 23 people.

That meant 23 individuals whose diets and specific requests, we had to consider while planning Celena and Joseph’s destination wedding in Ireland. Despite the challenges, the wedding planning went smoothly because the couple’s chosen wedding venue had everything that they needed for their big day.

About the wedding venue

This beautiful five-star hotel in Wicklow is only one hour away from Dublin airport, so it’s very convenient to have a destination wedding here. Most importantly, the hotel has everything that a couple could wish for. It has beautiful gardens for outdoor ceremonies, 5-star facilities for accommodation, and believe it or not, there is a waterfall nearby, that is perfect for photoshoots!

When Celena and Joseph heard about the hotel as one of our suggested venues for their group, they immediately fell in love. The hotel has enough rooms for its guests and a beautiful outdoor spot for the ceremony, with the astounding building in the background.

The hotel not only boasts of 5-star service and facilities but of scenic mountain views, lush trees, and greenery in all directions, and a palatial facade that serves as a grand background for outdoor weddings.

The romantic day that was

Celena and Joseph booked hotel rooms for them and their guests for five days. They enjoyed the facilities of the hotel and the views around it even before their wedding day. When the most exciting day of their lives arrived, the two got ready in separate rooms so they would not see each other until the wedding day.

They were blessed to have sunny weather on their big day despite frequent rains in Ireland during springtime. The two got married in May, so we expected some rain to happen on the exact day of their wedding, but the skies were clear and the sun shone generously the whole day!

Their outdoor ceremony was filled with the bright sunlight the whole time, and the picturesque hotel was in the background. The guests were seated just in front of the hotel’s fountain, and they could see the Irish mountains from where they sat. Celena and Joseph had a simple ceremony, complete with the ring and kiss traditions as well as an emotional exchange of vows.

The after-ceremony photoshoot

After the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests proceeded to the best spot near the hotel. They walked to the waterfalls and made sure they had their photos taken next to them. When the entourage shots were taken, only Celena and Joseph were left for the photo shoot.

They took the time to make sure to have the best photos with the waterfalls in the background. Their photos were truly stunning, and they will surely remind them of that once-in-a-lifetime destination wedding experience in Ireland.
