Vibrant colors for a chateau wedding in Normandy
Story
Rajan and Janaki’s destination wedding in France is far from ordinary. First off, they brought over 100 guests all the way from the UK to Normandy to witness their once-in-a-lifetime exchange of vows. Secondly, the newlyweds wore vibrant-colored clothes for the wedding reception that set the tone for a fun and exciting celebration. See their wedding photos below for reference. Overall, their big day was filled with rustic decor, delicious food, fun, and dancing!
The wedding reception
Rajan and Janaki’s wedding reception started with a big toast from the bride and groom. There was an intricate champagne tower that they filled to the brim before they declared a toast. After that, the guests enjoyed the popcorn and liquor bars that were creatively set up outdoors, while Rajan and Janaki had their wedding photoshoot with colorful smoke bombs.
By that time, the couple had already changed into their vibrant purple suit and red dress. After that short program break, the group proceeded to the proper reception area, which was a huge tent amidst the chateau’s park. The area was designed with rustic decor and white chairs and tables for the guests. Instead of a wedding cake, the couple used a sumptuous croquembouche for their cake-cutting ceremony, and everyone was amazed by this French delicacy.
After the speeches, the party started, and Rajan and Janaki led their guests to a night of dancing and singing until the break of dawn.
The outdoor ceremony in front of the chateau
Rajan and Janaki’s big day was filled with fun and excitement from the preparations to the reception. Their closest friends and family were with them every step of the way. When Rajan was dressing up and getting ready, her mom and dad, as well as her closest friends were with her. Janaki’s best friends helped him prepare and were so playful during the fun photoshoot.
The ceremony happened in the lush open field with a beautiful floral arch serving as the perfect backdrop for the couple. Their celebrant led a wonderful ceremony that made Rajan, Janaki, and their guests laugh and tear up at the same time. The ceremony ended with a sweet kiss on a bright autumn day of August in a beautiful setting surrounded by lime trees, with a lovely chateau in the background.
About the wedding venue
Located near Paris, this unique red-brick chateau in the Upper Normandy region is known as one of the three most beautiful chateaux in Europe. Built in the 18th century, the chateau’s prominent features are brick and stone. The elegant facade reveals its history as a royal residence.
The outdoor environment is filled with tall and thick lime trees that line up in front of the chateau. There’s also a chapel and pavilions that serve as additional spaces for weddings. The chateau’s 18th-century vibe has been well-preserved, mainly the woodwork inside the rooms, including the fireplaces and the Versailles parquet floors.
Planning their destination wedding in France
Planning Rajan and Janaki’s destination wedding in France had not been a walk in the park. There were so many details to be discussed and coordinated because of their big guest list. The moment we found out about the approximate headcount, we looked for a venue that would not only fit the guests, but make the whole event a comfortable, convenient, and amazing experience for everyone.
When we found the perfect one that ticked all the boxes for Rajan and Janaki, we booked it immediately to lock in the venue. After that, we picked the most capable suppliers on their behalf and communicated all of the couple’s requirements to them. The end result was a beautifully decorated ceremony area and a cozy reception tent where everyone had the time of their lives. The food, the program, and every aspect of the wedding was undoubtedly perfect.
