Summer outdoor wedding overlooking the French countryside in Gascony
Story
Mandana and Sietze came from a beautiful place in Netherlands, but they have always dreamed of getting married in France. We can’t blame them! France has a lot of beautiful places that lure couples to have an unforgettable wedding.
One such place is Gascony in South West France, and it was Mandana and Sietze’s dream destination for their big day. Their chosen venue is an 800-year-old castle with ancient stone walls that shout history! What’s more, the castle is located on a hilltop surrounded by the pristine beauty of the French countryside. You can literally see the valleys from the ceremony area.
As requested, Mandana and Sietze had an outdoor ceremony at the castle grounds surrounded by the ancient walls. Mandana wore a beautiful tube dress while Sietze looked dapper in his suit and bowtie. In front of the ceremony area were tall trees that served as the couple’s backdrop. They had a meaningful ceremony with cultural traditions incorporated in the affair.
After the couple marched, Mandana and Sietze spent the afternoon until sunset doing their photoshoot in all the beautiful areas of the venue. They also went to the nearby Bastide village to add more French elements to their wedding day. Their final stop for the photoshoot was the castle’s terrace overlooking the wide-open, lush French countryside.
To cap the night, they celebrated inside the castle’s event room that was decorated with elements showcasing Mandana and Sietze’s love for traveling. The event room was lit with candles and string lights, making the occasion more romantic.
After the program and the lovely videos, the couple led their guests to the dance floor for a fun and memorable party the whole night! Of course, a wedding photo booth was part of all the fun!
