She gave us excellent restaurant and local recommendations, answered all my questions, she helped procure the most STUNNING bouquet that was exactly what I wanted π. Ciara even brought us an iron and a steamer on the day of for the boys to iron their suits since ours was broken, totally saved the day! Our package included hair and makeup, my flowers, the officiant, a musician, all of Ciaraβs help and planning, it was worth every penny. We had the best day, which we could do it all over again. An absolute dream come true thanks to the lovely Ciara & Peach Perfect team. Thank you thank you!
Megan and Jerod's Irish elopement
When Megan and Jerod decided to elope in Ireland, they weren't just planning a wedding β they were choosing an adventure.
The Connecticut couple had always envisioned a fall wedding with a cottagecore soul: something outdoors, intimate, and deeply romantic.
On 11 October 2024, surrounded by a handful of their closest loved ones, they exchanged vows atop the breathtaking cliffs of Kerry in a symbolic Celtic handfasting ceremony, with the wild Atlantic stretching endlessly before them.
Traditional Irish bagpipes filled the ocean air, autumn light kissed the landscape gold, and every detail β from the stunning floral bouquet to a charming post-ceremony coffee cart β felt like it had been pulled straight from a dream. This is the story of one of the most heartfelt micro weddings in Ireland we've ever had the joy of being part of.
A venue like no other: the cliffs of Slea Head
If you've ever searched for truly extraordinary Irish wedding venues, Slea Head near Dingle is in a category all its own. Perched at the western edge of the Dingle Peninsula in County Kerry, it is one of the most dramatic and unspoiled stretches of coastline in all of Europe.
Ancient stone walls, rolling green hills, and the vast Atlantic Ocean form a natural backdrop that no ballroom could ever replicate.
For Megan and Jerod, who had always been drawn to the cliffs, it was a perfect fit. The rugged beauty of Kerry felt aligned with everything they had envisioned β wild, romantic, and utterly real. The moment they saw images of Slea Head, they knew. This was where they were meant to say their vows.
From Connecticut to Kerry: their planning story
Megan and Jerod got engaged in September after four beautiful years together and immediately knew they wanted something small and meaningful rather than a large traditional celebration.
Having never visited Ireland before, the idea of planning a destination wedding felt daunting at first. That's where their wedding planner in Ireland came in. From their very first video call, they felt reassured β guided through venue options, vendor selections, and every logistical detail with warmth and expertise.
Their planner handled everything from start to finish, including recommending and booking all their vendors, making the process feel effortless. The couple had felt overwhelmed by options, but with the right support, every decision became exciting rather than stressful.
They picked one of our all-inclusive wedding packages in Ireland, that covered hair and makeup, florals, their officiant, a musician, and full planning support β truly worth every penny.
Handfasting on the clifftop: a Celtic ceremony to remember
The ceremony itself was nothing short of magical. Standing atop the cliffs of Kerry with the ocean roaring below and the sky stretching wide above, Megan and Jerod took part in a traditional Celtic handfasting ritual β one of Ireland's most ancient and meaningful wedding traditions.
Their hands were bound together in a symbolic union, a gesture as timeless as the landscape surrounding them.
Adding to the atmosphere was a live musician playing traditional Irish bagpipes, whose haunting, soulful notes drifted across the clifftop and out over the Atlantic. It was the kind of music that gets into your bones.
For a couple who had always envisioned something with heart and texture, this ceremony delivered in every possible way. Their elopement in Ireland had become something far greater than they'd dared to hope for.
Coffee on the cliffs: a perfectly cozy moment
After the ceremony, rather than rushing off to a reception venue, Megan and Jerod chose something far more in keeping with their cottagecore spirit: a coffee cart, right there on the clifftop. Guests gathered, cups in hand, laughing and taking in the view as the autumn breeze swept in off the water.
It was a wonderfully simple and human moment after all the emotion of the ceremony β warm drinks, warm company, and one of the most spectacular views on earth. It perfectly captured the cosy, grounded energy the couple had always wanted.
Sometimes the most memorable wedding moments aren't grand gestures at all; they're a good coffee shared with the people you love most, on the edge of the world.
Ireland's autumn glow: nature in full colour
October in Kerry is something special. The landscape transforms into a tapestry of amber, burnt orange, and deep green, with soft golden light that photographers dream about.
Megan and Jerod chose their date with intention β they had always envisioned a fall wedding β and Ireland delivered every bit of the seasonal magic they had hoped for.
The air carried that crisp, earthy quality that only autumn brings, and the light had a warmth and depth that made every photograph feel painterly. Even the occasional cloud passing overhead added drama to an already cinematic setting.
Ireland's west coast in October isn't just beautiful β it's alive, moody, and deeply atmospheric in the best possible way.
A stroll through Kerry: the post-ceremony photoshoot
Following the ceremony and their clifftop coffee, the couple ventured further into the wild Kerry landscape for their post-ceremony photoshoot. The dramatic scenery of Slea Head provided endless backdrops β ancient stone walls, sweeping coastal panoramas, narrow winding roads disappearing into the hills, and skies that shifted from bright to brooding and back again.
Their photographer captured the couple against this extraordinary natural canvas, documenting not just their wedding day but the genuine joy between two people finally living out a long-held dream. For a couple who had eloped in Ireland without ever having visited before, the reality of Kerry's beauty clearly exceeded even their highest expectations.
Magic at Dunquin Pier
No visit to the Dingle Peninsula would be complete without time at Dunquin Pier, and Megan and Jerod's photoshoot there was a highlight of the entire day. The pier β with its steep, winding path descending to the water and views toward the Blasket Islands β has an otherworldly quality that feels almost cinematic.
With the Atlantic glittering in the background and the last of the afternoon light catching the stone and sea, the images captured here were among the most breathtaking of the day.
It's the kind of place that makes you feel very small and very alive all at once, and for two people choosing to mark the start of their marriage here, it couldn't have been more fitting.
A wedding born from resilience and love
Megan and Jerod's journey to this day wasn't without its challenges. In the summer of 2023, the couple endured a devastating house fire β a deeply traumatic experience that tested their strength and resilience as a couple.
Choosing to follow that hardship with one of the most beautiful days of their lives felt, in many ways, like a full-circle moment of healing and hope.
Their wedding was also a tribute to the life they've built together β including their beloved cat, Pippin, who holds a cherished place in their family.
Every detail of this day, from the Celtic ritual to the wild Kerry coastline, reflected exactly who they are: adventurous, grounded, and deeply in love.
